How does poison-free slug and snail control work with the EcoTrap?

The EcoTrap is placed in the soil at ground level and filled with liquid bait (such as regular beer or a yeast-sugar water mix). The yeast scent attracts slugs and snails from several meters away into the trap where they drown naturally. It provides a 100% chemical-free and eco-friendly pest control solution.

Yes! The entrance openings and container volume are specially designed to accommodate large Spanish slugs (Arion vulgaris) and garden snails. The design prevents them from crawling back out, protecting your flower beds and greenhouses.

Is this slug trap safe for pets, birds, and hedgehogs?

Absolutely. Because the trap uses no chemical pellets or toxic poisons, there is zero risk of poisoning for dogs, cats, birds, or hedgehogs. The protective lid also prevents larger animals from accessing the bait.

How often should the trap be emptied and refilled?
